Obituary For Marjorie A. Flanigan

September 20, 1926 - October 3, 2015

Flanigan, Marjorie A. (Joyce) Age 89, on Saturday, October 3, 2015, of Brentwood.

Wife of John R. Flanigan; mother of Robert J. (Carol) of Baldwin, Dennis P. (the late Linda) of Brentwood, Timothy M. (Cora) of Brentwood, Maura J. (Rod) Flanigan-Ralph of North Side, and Sean T. (Michelle) Flanigan of Brunswick, OH; sister of Nancy McKown of Overbrook. Also survived by nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Marjorie volunteered and worked at St. Vincent DePaul Society and at South Side Hospital. She personally catered many special events for the South Hills Rotary Club, St. Sylvester's Golden Agers, weddings and other special events. She was selfless, giving unconditional love; a devoted wife and mother. Family was #1. During the '70's, Marjorie was the writer of the "Round About Brentwood" for the South Hills Record. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
