Miss Mary was a great secretary, nurse, friend and advocate for the children of Roosevelt Elementary. She was firm when need be and yet a kind listener for all the students she served. Miss Mary was a great asset to the PPS system and she WILL be missed. My condolences go out to her whole family and all the families at school who knew her to be a very valuable asset to the district.

Ms. Mary and I worked together at Roosevelt Elementary School since 1988. Ms. Mary and I served on many educational committees including the PTO and PSCC. Ms. Mary was the first person in the school building every morning along with the custodian. She was steadfast and true to the hundreds of students, parents, and staff members for whom she served. Ms. Mary will never be replaced! She was a dear friend and confidante. Farewell my beloved colleague and may God bless you until we meet again! Ms. Linda L. Scarsella, Kindergarten Teacher, Roosevelt Elementary School

My heart aches! Miss Mary was a wonderful woman! My son is autistic and until 6 months ago was basically non verbal, Miss Mary was very involved with my son! When he started to speak she was just as excited as we were! My son also doesn't hug many people even family but he hugged her every day! We just saw her at giant Eagle last week and he ran up to her and gave her a big hug, she asked if he was excited about school and said she couldn't wait to see him there. This woman reached my son in such a positive way! I could go on and on about what she did for our family! She was loved and will be very missed! To her family, my thoughts are with you and she told me many stories about you all and if there is anything we can do please let us know!
