Obituary For Mary Doris Speicher

October 1, 2015

Speicher, Mary Doris, on Thursday, October 1, 2015 of Baldwin Boro. Beloved wife of the late Elmer W. Speicher; loving mother of Pamela M. Speicher, Father Charles W. Speicher, Linda J. (Daniel) McCarthy, Germaine A. Marnell and Jeffrey A. Speicher; Nanny of Gene A. (Aislinn) Marnell, Jr. and William M. (Brittany) Marnell. Mary Doris was a longtime member of Saint Wendelin Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Wendelin Church on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by her son Father Charles Speicher. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Saint Wendelin Church, 2728 Custer Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 or Marian Manor, 2695 Winchester Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

    I grew up neighbors to the Speicher Family and in the same grade as Germaine & Jeff. When I think of Mrs. Speicher I think of her being a Great Mom, always cooking, homemade pies cooling by the window, her loving to read books, playing cards and her wonderful sense of Humor. The entire Family Iives by her example and that's why I really can not think of a more Genuine Family than The Speicher's. Mrs. Speicher will be missed.
