Formerly of Pleasant Hills, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2014.

Beloved sister of Anna (the late John) Mitruski and Pauline (COL Leo) Hergenroeder. She was preceded in death by her loving siblings George Homa, Margaret Smarsh and Helen Pakutinskas. She was a cherished aunt of Michelene (John) Cunningham, Janet (the late Frank) Carroll, John "Hoppy" (Teri) Mitruski, Mary Pakutinskas, the "Hergenroeder boys" and numerous great-nephews and nieces. She will always be remembered as a generous and caring soul. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff of Norbert's Personal Care Home and especially Mary and her co-workers at Seven Oaks Hospice. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Parastas service at 3 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Funeral of Divine Liturgy in St. Pius X Byzantine Church, 2336 Brownsville Rd., Carrick, at 10 AM.
