Obituary For Mary Jean Casamassa

July 3, 1953 - March 9, 2018

Casamassa, Mary Jean (Facchiano) Age 64, unexpectedly while in Italy, on March 9, 2018, of Pittsburgh.

Beloved wife of Giuseppe A. Casamassa; loving mother of Rosaria (Anthony) Stabile, Vincenzo (Jena) and Giuseppe (Gina) Casamassa; beloved daughter of Michael A. Facchiano, Sr. and the late Antonietta (Gentilcore); proud Nona of Antonio, Antonella, Luciano, Nadia, Vincenzo, Vito, Giuseppe and Gino; sister of Michael (Gail) Facchiano, Jr., John (Jane) Facchiano Sr. and Michelle (Rosario) Mutarelli; aunt of Giavanna, Alexia, Michael III, Giovanni, Michala, Michael Paul, Gianna, Matteo and Santino; also survived by the Mansollino, Casamassa and Ferro families in Italy. Mary Jean's family would like to thank those families for their love and support. Mary Jean's family extended well beyond her own. The relationships she fostered and valued professionally and socially were close to her heart. She will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 6-8 p.m and Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish in St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 am.
