Obituary For Mary Lou (Fulkus) Startari

Mary Lou (Fulkus) Startari, age 95, of Brentwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Beloved wife of 43 years to the late Richard E. Startari; loving mother of Mary Elaine (Dennis) Porzio, Richard E. (Susan) Startari, Beverly A. (John) Joyce, Scott A. Startari and the late Wayne T. Startari; grandma and now guardian angel of Jacqueline, Brian, Robin, Jason, Sherri, Lyndi, John "B.J.", Jamie, Jodi, Julie, Justin and Jessica; proud great-grandma of 22; sister of the late Robert Fulkus and Virginia Mae Sciulli. Also survived by nieces, nephews and their families. Mary Lou was a self-taught artist, voracious reader, lifelong learner and a huge Elvis fan! She was devoted to her faith and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church at 11:00 a.m.
