Matilda "Tillie" (Mroch) Basista

Age 93 of Baldwin Borough, passed away on July 14, 2025 at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, Baden, PA. Born in Braddock, PA she was the beloved wife for 48 years to the late Joseph Basista and the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Mroch.

Matilda is lovingly remembered and survived by her children Patricia Mistick, Michael (Karen) Basista, Leonard (Brenda) Basista, and Mary (Larry) Baun. She also cherished and leaves behind six grandchildren, Jeremy, Rebecca (Patrick), Michael (Suzanne), Elizabeth, Colin (Allison) and Sarah (Evan); five great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jonathan, Connor, Charlotte, Sydney and she was looking forward to meeting her new great-grandchild in a few weeks. Sister of the late Marcella (Raymond) Lukas and Delores (Bert) Cameron. Also survived by dearly beloved nieces and nephews. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who were touched by her wonderful life.

Family and friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. A prayer service at the funeral home Thursday morning at 9:45, followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m.
