Age 94, passed peacefully surrounded by family, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, of Baldwin, formerly of Beechview.

Loving wife of the late John Minick; devoted mother of Valerie (Rick) Patterson; Grinny of Tim (Sarah), Steve (Shannon) and Mike (Sarah) and her great-grandchildren, Harper, Graham, Mia and Nora; daughter of the late Anna and George Batram; sister of the late Ruth Batram and Dolores (Herman) Vrana. Also survived by her nieces and nephews and her grade school friend, Norma Santa, who she never lost contact with, and loved to chat with. Jean enjoyed playing bingo, socializing with her friends at The Residence and especially spending time with her family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 3-7 p.m. where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Boulder Crest Foundation at www.bouldercrest.org
