Obituary For Millie Vidakovich Vignovic

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Millie Vidakovich Vignovic, age 87, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born on July 17, 1938, in Midland, PA to the late Mico and Evica Vidakovich. Millie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love of community. Millie joins in eternal rest her husband of 49 years, Rade Vignovic. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith, a legacy that lives on through their children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Anka and Kata Vidakovich, cherished children, Eva (Rob) Zunich, Martha (Mike) McJilton, Michelle (Jim) Stanek, David (Amy) Vignovic, and grandchildren, Rada and Mila Zunich, Tomislav and Mara McJilton, Sam Stanek, Rade, Milojko, and Lilianna Vignovic. Preceded in death by her brother Josef Branko Vidakovich.

She was a devout Serbian Orthodox Christian and longstanding member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. She especially enjoyed family vacations, including the annual New York trips, involvement in the Circle of Serbian Sisters, and wintering in Arizona.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. Parastas service will be held at 6:15 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday morning from 10-11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Rade Vignovic Memorial Scholarship at the Serbian National Federation(snflife.org (http://snflife.org/), 920 Poplar Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 in memory of Millie Vignovic or Holy Trinity Cathedral - Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 450 Maxwell Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15236 in memory of Millie Vignovic.
