I spent many a day and night at Nadine's. When I came back home to Pittsburgh, after years in Arizona, it was my first stop, for delicious food, good conversation, and to say hello to Nadine, who always gave great hugs, words of encouragement, and never took s*it from anyone. Much love to the Voelker family, she will be missed. ❤️ Erin

Deepest sympathy for your loss. Nadine was the hardest working women that I ever knew. Working with her at the youth football concession stand was a learning experience as she showed me the ropes. I also got to work sometimes at the Concordia Club which was amazing to watch her manage and maintain order in all aspects. I stopped at Nadines bar once to check it out. She took the time to stop working and sat with me to chat and catch up on life. So nice. Rest now Nadine in peace! Debbie Conley

Voelker family, I am so sorry for your loss. Nadine was a great person and she we will be missed by everyone. When we were little I remember me Mike and Matt playing in the woods next to their house. We were dirty as hell when we came back in. Nay marched us upstairs threw us all in the tub straight away. -Shawn McCaffrey-

Nadine was always a kindhearted, giving person. We fist met back in the 1970's when we worked at LaBastille Restaurant in Oliver Plaza. Even though we only saw each other occasionally over the decades, she was always considered a friend. My condolences to the Voelker family. May she rest in peace.

Nadine's hard work resulted in the success of her famous local bar/restaurant featured on one of our favorite shows Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives... where many gathered for fun with friends and for Nadine's company when they were lonely. Nadine's Bar made everyone feel like family and Nadine did a lot of good for the South Side. She was a good soul and can now walk with God for eternity. Rest in Peace Nadine. Love, The Heinauers (Mark, Melinda, Grant, Kathryn, Brock, Christina and kids)
