Obituary For Nancy A. Leheny

Age 84, on Friday, September 5, 2025, of Whitehall, formerly of Overbrook.

Beloved wife of 62 years to Patrick Leheny; loving mother of Kathy (Jim) Graziano and Erin (Tony) Riccitelli; proud Grandma of Daniel (Katharine), Rachel and Kara Graziano, Alyssa Dunn and A.J. Riccitelli; daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanor McClain; sister of Raymond (Mary) McClain and William (Marilyn) McClain. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Oakland, Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Schenley High School. She was a longtime, faithful parishioner of St. Gabriel Church and worked as a childcare provider at the Franciscan Child Care Center with the Sisters of St. Francis from 1985 to 1998. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 8:30-9:30 a.m followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m.

    Our family will always remember the loving and gentle care Nancy provided at the Franciscan Child Day Care center for our two children. Nancy patiently reassured me as a nervous new mom that our babies would be fine. In fact, they thrived, thanks to the ministry of Nancy and the other caregivers.
