Obituary For Nancy (Hayward) Gency

Age 85, on Wedenesday, November 22, 2023, of Lancaster, formerly of Baldwin.

Wife of the late Gordon A. Gency; loving mother of Gordon (Debora) Gency; daughter of the late Theodore and Johanna (Frey) Hayward. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 9-11:00 a.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 11:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 12:00 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.

    Gordon and Debbie I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express how I feel. Your mother was lost without your Dad. She is at peace. The last time I spoke with her she kept saying that she was so thankful for the two of you.She couldn't do it without your help. I don't know if she was ill, other than her legs she didn't want to talk about it. She was my best friend. You have our deepest sympathy. Linda and Joe Terreri and family.
