Bartek, Nancy J.

Nancy J. (nee Auen) Bartek died Friday, April 3rd, after a long illness. Nancy was an avid gardener, floral grower extraordinaire, and lover of German shepherds. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Ida (nee Gibbs) Auen, her siblings, Paul and Betty, and her lifelong best friend Alphonse "Al" Chesnos, as well as her daughter Lori. She is survived by three children, Michael, Clifford, and Lisa, seven grandchildren, Christina, Douglas, Freeman, William, Sarah, Michael, and Chase, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc, 412-8814100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 on Monday from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10. Family welcomes flowers, or memorial contributions made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Ste. E-201, Pgh., PA 15222.
