September 21, 1930 - March 19, 2018 Cross, Nathalie Booth Beloved wife and mother, died on March 19. Born in Kearney, NJ, she grew up in Asbury Park, NJ, and moved to Pittsburgh in 1958 when her husband Tom accepted a job at the Westinghouse Bettis Plant. They lived in Pleasant Hills for over 40 years. "Nat" loved to read, and aspired to be a backyard gardener, but the thing that gave her most joy as a young woman was ballet. She danced in productions at the Pittsburgh Playhouse like Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. She was also a talented poet, and enjoyed working with children, volunteering for programs like Headstart. In her 40's, she went to college as a non-traditional student, graduating from Chatham College with a degree in communications. She is preceded in death by husband Tom, daughter Beth, and sisters Catherine Dalecki and Marjorie Booth. She is survived by daughter Margie Cross and husband Bernd Herbert, son John Cross-Whiter and wife Jo Cross-Whiter, son Tim Cross and wife Pennie Dubisar-Cross, son-in-law Marc Flood, grandchildren Miles Cross-Whiter, Taylor Cross-Whiter, and Ian Flood, and niece Catherine Thornberry. There will be no visitation. A graveside memorial service will be held in Arlington Cemetery, New Jersey, at a future date. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Phipps Conservatory in Nathalie's memory. Arrangements handled by the John F.
