Obituary For Nick Mainos

Age 96, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, of Whitehall, formerly of Mt. Oliver.

Beloved husband of the late Clara (Nemec) Mainos; loving father of Judy (Joseph) DePaolis of Aliquippa and Bernice (the late Bucky) Crow of Whitehall; grandfather of Jennifer (Jason) Dize, Joseph DePaolis, Jeffrey (Kelsey) DePaolis and Joy (John) Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren; brother of the late Marie Liss, Michael and John Mainos. Also survived by his niece and nephew. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, October 26 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Mary, Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary of the Mount at 10:00 a.m.

    Mary Lutzo

    Judy is married to my brother, Joseph. So I know Nick for over 40 years. He was always kind, gentle, and calm. Nick and Clara felt like close family to us right away. We always had good times together. Nick was a great father. He raised 2 wonderful daughters. Judy and Bernice, who feel like sisters to me. God blessed him with a long life. Rest In Peace, Nick.
