Obituary For Patricia Ann (Murphy) Tydeman

Age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021, born and raised in South Side and a 1960 graduate of St. Casimir High School.

Patty was the eldest daughter of the late Francis "Mickey" Murphy and Helen "Bucky" O'Brien Murphy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Milton Tydeman. Patty is survived and will be deeply missed by her siblings, Colleen (Murphy) Kerno, Francis "Mickey" Murphy and Dennis (Elaine) Murphy. Known as the "Murphy 4" , the siblings were also the best of friends. Patty also leaves behind nieces and nephews that adored her. A generous aunt to Tracy (the late Michael Cardello), Brien (Jill), Kimberly (Stefen Bourg), Erin (Damien Pritchard), Shaun and Quinn. Patty lived in Newtown, PA for many years. An astute businesswoman, she successfully owned and operated Fiber and Metal Air Systems in Bensalem, PA until returning to Pittsburgh to be closer to her family. Patty was a summer resident of Stone Harbor, NJ where she enjoyed dancing at the Windrift, relaxing with a book, and happy hours on the deck with friends. She shared her home at the shore with her family to provide years of vacations and memories to last a lifetime. Words cannot and never will describe how much she will be missed by her family and many friends. Family and friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Patricia's family suggests donations to Amedisys Hospice Care, 480 Johnson Road, Suite 230, Washington, PA 15301.
