Obituary For Patricia (Waigand) Geiger

Age 75, of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 12, 2023.

Beloved wife for over 49 years of the late Norman "Stormin Norman" Geiger; loving mother of Sherri Geiger-Uranker and Glenn Geiger; proud Gee Gee of Corey, Courtney and Amber Uranker and Ava Geiger; daughter of the late Eugene and Irene (Pudup) Waigand; sister of Christine (Michael) Spisak, David Waigand, Daniel (Huiyun) Waigand, Eugene (Bonnie) Waigand and Donald (Kim) Waigand; sister-in-law of Patricia and Bob Mayer. Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and aunts. Patty was a devoted grandmother, a slot machine maniac, and an all around "good egg". Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.

    I cannot begin to express the deep sadness I am feeling today when I tried to call Pat to invite her to lunch and then learned of her passing last month. We worked together in the late 80's and I can never forget her strength & conviction in 1989 when we both left our positions. We have remained friends since then, even during the 17 yrs that I lived in the south, and I am totally blindsided by this news today. My husband, Ollie, and I share our deepest sympathy and condolences to her family. I just cannot believe it. You are all in my prayers and I wish her blessed repose and to Rest In Peace alongside Norman.

    To my cousins, Patty's siblings, I am sorry for the loss you all must be feeling. I have never forgotten her laugh. It was truly infectious and genuine. I also remember when she was younger and dyed her hair too much that it turned green. I wonder who else remembers that, Christine?
