Obituary For Patrick F. Malloy

August 25, 1943 - May 5, 2015

Malloy, Patrick F., age 71, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 of Mt. Oliver Boro. Devoted and loving husband of 45 years to Joanne M. (Breier) Malloy; loving and caring father of Patrick "P.J." (Darla) Malloy; very proud grandfather of Nolan Fitzpatrick and Brady Quinn Malloy; son of the late Joseph and Rita Malloy; brother of Joseph (Judy), Daniel (Maxine), Paul (Joyce), Peter (Margaret), Rita, Joann (Randy) Menefee, Anna (Mark) Frontara and the late John; nephew of Florence Andracki; cousin of Richard Andracki. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp for 4 years. Patrick was a former president and member of Mt. Oliver Boro Council; former president and coach of Mt. Oliver Little League for 20 years serving until it's 50th Anniversary. Former president and member of Window Cleaners S.E.I.U. Local #16 and a former employee of General Window Cleaning for 38 years. Patrick was a good, honest, hard working man that put his family first. He had a deep devotion to his faith and lived a life that reflected his love of God and his church. He was loved and respected by many. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Madonna del Castello Church in Swissvale at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.     This man was the best grandfather that ever lived. He did good deeds for me and my family. I had the greatest memories with him. Me, my brother, my dad, and my mom were in Disney World in Orlando, Florida, when he was on life support. He is greatly missed.
