Paul E. Mula was called back to Heaven on May 13, 2020, 12 days prior to his 100th birthday. Paul was born on May, 25 1920 in Central City, PA to James and Pauline Mula. Paul served his country proudly during WWII in the U.S. Army and after being honorably discharged, his service to his country continued as a member of the U.S. Postal Service. He and his wife Ann moved to Florida in 1981 from Pittsburgh, PA. God was a very big part of Paul’s life and he spent many years doing what he could to help and support both St. Margaret’s Church in Green Tree, Pa. and Epiphany Catholic Church here in Port Orange. He was a great husband and father and loved by many. He was one of those special people who always looked out for those less fortunate. He didn’t need to know you, but tried to make sure you were taken care of. If you were in trouble, Paul would be there to lend a hand and he would always find a way to light up the eyes of a child and make them smile. Paul kept very active even in his later years; he volunteered with the Church, the thrift store worked at Spruce Creek and of course, was ever present in the bingo hall. He was a special man and had a special love for his ice cream and bananas. He will be missed dearly. Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann and his son Vincent Paul. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Suzanne Mula “Bella”, with whom he had been living with for the last few years, and Paula (John) Marchetti. Visitation and services were held privately in Florida. Interment will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Arrangements entrusted to the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.
