Obituary For Peter J. Caruso

December 11, 1939 - May 18, 2015

Caruso, Peter J. III, age 75, surrounded by his loving family, on May 18, 2015 of Munhall. Beloved husband of Margaret (Kozar) Caruso for over 55 years; loving father of Sandy Caruso and Peter J. (Nora) Caruso IV; pappy of Nicole, Gina, and Kristina Caruso; son of the late Peter J., Jr. and Mary Ann Caruso; brother of Patricia (Joe) Gall and the late John Caruso; nephew of Floyd "Fritz" Caruso; brother-in-law of Dea (Elmer) Papp, Pat (the late Don) Knaresboro, Bernie (Tom) Manns, Jack (Alice) Kozar, Fran (Kathy) Kozar, Jim Kozar and the late Mary Lou (Pat) DiFrancesco. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Peter was President of the family run business Peter J. Caruso & Sons, Inc. which started in 1948. He was the second generation of the family business and took great pride in his organization and the work it has done. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggest contributions to Wounded Warrior Project One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant Street Attn: Donor ServicesPittsburgh, PA 15219, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.     Caruso Family, My deepest sympathy for your loss. My father worked for Peter for many, many years and truly loved everyone at Peter J. Caruso and Sons. I lost him 1 year ago and he talked and reminised about Caruso's his entire life, up until the day he left this world. My prsyers are with you at this time.
