Gajski, Raymond G., Sr, age 91, on Monday, May 12, 2014 of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 63 years of Ann Marie (Walsh) Gajski; loving father of Patricia (Daniel) Bender, Susan (Charles) Kautz, Raymond (Mary Ellen) Gajski Jr., Janet (Robert) Vento and Karen (James) Noss; dear grandfather of Jennifer, Megan, Bethany, Daniel, Melissa, Stephanie, Erin, Michael, Katelyn, Laura, Natalie, Michael, Chelsea, Nicholas, Lindsey and Jessica; caring great grandfather of 14 great grandchildren; devoted son of the late Frank and Anna (Kreeger) Gajski; brother of the late Francis Gajski and the late Dorothy (Gajski) Kukich. Ray was a proud WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in many battles of the South Pacific Theatre. He was honored with many medals and enjoyed visiting the Memorial in Washington D.C. He was a highly skilled pipe fitter by trade and a loyal member of Pipe Fitters Local Union 354. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Friends and relatives will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in his beloved home parish of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, Whitehall at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin School, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15236.
