Obituary For Richard A. Dillon

August 18, 1922 - September 2, 2015

Dillon, Richard A., age 93, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, formerly of Whitehall. Beloved husband of the late Alma (Dischner) Dillon; Dick is predeceased by his first wife Peggy Ann Dillon and two sons Richard A. Dillon, Jr. (survived by wife Fran) and Thomas V. Dillon (survived by wife Donna); cherished father of Kathy (Bob) Stein, Winnie (Andy) Manko, Ed (Karen) Dischner, Debbie (Bill) Andrulonis, and Mike (Tootie) Dischner. Also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a proud WWII Veteran serving in France and Germany and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was an independent insurance agent for 59 years. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions in Dick's honor may be made to Central Catholic High School, 4720 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
