Obituary For Richard Henry Stewart

Age 71, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, of Munhall.

Beloved husband of Roseann (Kellington) Stewart; loving father of Suzanne, Danielle (Alisa), Justin, Amy, Nicole (Joshua) Winfield, James Richard (Melissa), Lindsay and the late Royce; cherished grandfather of Tyler W., Tyler S., Christopher, Adeline, Ashton, Isabella, Sydney, Aden, Keith, Sincere, C'yniah, Greyson, Aleeah, Messiah, Briella, Lily, Bennett, and Rory; son of the late Ronald Nelson and Justine (Clemons) Stewart; brother of Kathy (Eric) Pitts, David (Rhonda) Kendle, Randall, Anthony (Karla), and the late Renee Stewart Betten. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Richard proudly served as a Vietnam Navy Veteran. A passionate racer, he was the founder of R. Stewart Motor Sports and a dedicated Sprint Car racer. His weekends were filled with racing and family, and he found great joy at the track surrounded by loved ones. He was a proud seventh-generation Floridian and experienced gator hunter.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

    Richard was an amazing man. Him and Rose was our neighbors and good friends. We spent much time together. They were the perfect couple. So much in love. What I remember he loved race cars and out door sports. The welcomed the world 🌍 into their home. Beautiful couple.
