I was blessed to know Richard in so many ways - as a fellow church member, as the finance leader and tireless worker for The Nyadire Connection, as a fellow adult mission team worker, and simply as a very good friend. He could make you laugh and make you think at the same time.. It's sad that his time has passed, but his memory will always be with us.

Sara, Barb and I were truly saddened with the news of Richards passing. I am very regretful that we had not seen you and Richard for ten years and wish that we would have had the opportunity to spend time together more recently. I met Richard 55 years ago and will always be thankful for having him as a close friend. God bless you and his memory will always be with us. -Bill and Barb Davidson

A friend for 30+ years, Richard, Ron Morris, Mel Koehler and I shared many weeks on adult mission trips. He was always willing and helpful on any project we had. He was a long time member of the Discovery Sunday School class, offering carefully considered comments and sharing his perspective. His sense of humor and friendship will be a treasured memory. Dear Sara, I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. You both were such a support to me on my first trip to Nyadire. I enjoyed you both immensely when we spent time together in Florida. Richard always had a smile and a fun personality. You were made for one another. Take care, Kathy Surma
