My wife and I are saddened to hear of Richard's passing. We taught him and he was a proud member of the Thomas Jefferson High School Football Team when I coached. Although he had many challenges in life, he bravely persevered. We pray that he will find peace and love in the hands of almighty God and that his family shall be comforted.

I just learned of your loss. I am deeply saddened by the passing of your son, Richard. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Richard, I know that the challenges presented by Batten Disease on his life (and yours) were significant, but his passing leaves the pain loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. I wish you comfort in the coming days. Former neighbor, Gary Hofing.
