Obituary For Rita (Gerhard) Mueller

Mueller, Rita (Gerhard), age 89, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, of Baldwin. Beloved wife of the late Eberhard; loving mother of Marina (Raymond) Ruggiero; Oma of Alex and Renee Ruggiero; Great-Oma of Julian, Malena, Brayden, Braeson and Auden; daughter of the late Anton and Aloysia Gerhard; sister of Helga and the late Lony (survived by George) and Martin (survived by Ursela). Rita was a 67 year member of the Teutonia Mannerchor Choir. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held at 7:00 in the Funeral Home chapel. If desired, the family suggests contributions to the Teutonia Mannerchor Singers Choir, 857 Phineas St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

    Rita and Eberhart were neighbors for years. I learned allot about cement and stucco work from Eberhart and Rita always had something interesting to eat after we finished working. So sorry to hear she has passed.

    Dear Mueller Family: We were very sad to hear about Rita. We have such fond memories of our Teutonia concert trips to Europe with your Mom and Dad. They made it special. I am so sorry that I am not able to be with the Chor to sing at the funeral home. I'll be there in spirit. Joanne sends her heartfelt thanks for the Christmas Rose plants Rita gave us.
