I met Bob while a student at the Highland School in the late 80s. He was my home room teacher, my English teacher, my science teacher, and a calming voice during some turbulent times as a teenager. I don't know if I would have finished high school without Bob Havey. I have thought of him often over the years and can honestly say he was one of the most positive influences in my life. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.

Bob Havey was my English teacher at the Highland School. I only knew him for a short time in my life, but I can truly say he had a profound affect on it. Although tbe dreams he encouraged me to pursue didnt work out as I hoped, his kindness still makes me smile to this very day. He was a good teacher, and he took the time befriend a troubled kid who had very few friends. RIP Bob and thanks for everything you did for me.

I only knew Bob for a couple of years while I attended Highland in the late 80's. I really liked him as an instructor and as a person. He helped me through some rough times at school and understood the issues I was having and did what he could to help me out. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
