Obituary For Robert C. Ferris

November 23, 1946 - April 11, 2018

Bob Ferris, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Bob was born in Pittsburgh Pa, to John and Clara Ferris. Bob and his loving wife were blessed with family and friends. His unique sense of humor was a light to everyone around him and he faced his most recent challenges with the same humor, courage and grace that he portrayed throughout his life. Bob was the proud owner of the Ferris Wheel Family Restaurant in Carrick. As a result of his hard work and perseverance, along with the love and support of a wonderful family, his accomplishments touched the lives of many throughout his 45 years in business. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved the sports played by his grandchildren. Bob had a great love and pride for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalind, and their three children, Chrissy Tierney, Lisa Saternos and Fred Wigginton (Amy). He is loved dearly by his six grandchildren: Kory, Emily, Jeremy (Hanna), Matt, John and Kayla, and one great-grandchild, Cameron. He was the youngest of four children: Clara Mae Schwenning, John "Butch" Ferris (Judy) and preceding him in death, Jackie Bruno. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 1:30 PM, at the New Wine Harvest Church located at 5206 East Willock Road, Baldwin, PA 15236. Arrangements handled by John F.
