Obituary For Robert Chase Crowley

Robert Chase Crowley, 64, passed away on June 25th. Born in Pittsburgh on September 2nd, 1960, to Marian and Robert Crowley. Robert graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1979. He worked throughout his life until age 36, when he started living with a disability.
Robert was a devoted father. After years of living with a long illness, Robert passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He fought long and hard until the day he passed. His perseverance was relentless. Robert will be remembered for his unwavering optimism, sense of humor, and ability to find joy in even the smallest aspects of life. He loved the city of Pittsburgh, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His children survive him: Sarah Rose Crowley, Andrew John Crowley, Robert Chase Crowley Jr., Mother of his Children, Carol J. Crowley; brothers and sisters, Susan Crowley, Charlotte Edinger (late Ron), Joseph (Vicky), Matt (Gee), Mark (Jackie) Crowley; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private “Celebration of Life” will be held for family and friends, at a later date. Arrangements were handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.

    I really appreciated Bob! I met him at the Shippingport Atomic Plant decomissioning in the mid 1980s and then we worked together at the Fernald Plant near Cincinnati. He was a lot of fun and was also very dependable and was a good friend. Condolences to his family and other friends. Henry Fuller

    So so sorry to hear of Robert's passing did not know him but have been friends either his sister Charlotte for many years and family meant so much to her loosing a sibling is very hard !!! My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends Rest in Peace Robert !!!🙏🙏🙏🙏

    Condolences to entire family🙏 I met Bob when our kids were attending Harrison co-op preschool 23 yrs ago He was like my older brother I never had , the quick sense of humor , and our sports debates when on and on with Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh ... with his ups & downs in life we still stayed in contact up to the last days . I will truly cherish our fond memories together forever, as he always made me laugh on every subject we talked about .,. Some day we will meet again Crowley RIP Your Ohio buddy Crawford , Matt Crawford
