Robert F. Cunningham Sr., age 89, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 22, 2020, of Brentwood.

Beloved husband of 64 years to Ann R. (Hickey) Cunningham; loving father of Robert F. (Linda) Cunningham Jr., Colleen Cunningham, Kathleen (Paul) Ruggiero, Patrick (Ro), Eileen Butler and the late Maureen Cunningham; caring Papap of Robert (Reeni) Cunningham, III, Matthew, Nicholas, Candace and Shannan Bloomstrand, Michael (Lea) Ruggiero, Kaleigh Ruggiero, Jessica Becker, Carly, Taylor and Ryan Cunningham, Joseph and Elena Butler; great grandfather of Robert Cunningham IV and Ellie Ruggiero; brother of the late John Cunningham. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed for 46 years as a Pressman at the Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post Gazette, was a Pressman union member #9 and a charter member Division #1. Ancient Order of Hibernian. He also served as an usher and volunteered in various other activities for St. Sylvester Parish. Family and friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, Pa 15227 on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Due to the current public health crisis, masks and social distancing must be adhered to. Funeral Prayer will be held on Saturday at 8:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church at 9:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Brentwood Meals on Wheels, 3725 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, Pa 15227.
