Age 85, on Saturday, March 25, 2017, of Carrick. Beloved husband of the late Mary Alice Schwartzmiller; loving father of Jerry (Joan) Plack; Thomas (Karen) Plack, Bobby (Angie) Schwartzmiller, and Mary Dulski; loving grandfather of Michael R., Cynthia M., T.J., Suzanne, Jon, Eric, Justin, and Michael; proud great-grandfather of 6; brother of Paul Schwarzmiller and the late Chuck Schwarzmiller. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a truck driver for Pittsburgh Brewing Company. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Monday, March 27, 2017, 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostle's Parish in St. Wendelin's Church at 10:30 a.m..
