Age 88, of Brookline, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on November 5, 2025. Loving husband of Marguerite A. Forster for 65 years; father of Robert J. (Vicki) Forster Jr., Kelly (Chuck) Wells, John (Nancy) Forster and Michael (Melissa) Forster; pap of Tommy, Samantha, Brandi, Zachary, Sarah, Nicholas, Grace, and Michael Jr. (Maddie); son of the late George and Elfreda Forster; brother of the late George Jr., Grace, and Elfreda. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Port Authority as a bus mechanic for 25 years. Bob had a love for all Pittsburgh sports teams and also gave his time coaching youth sports in Brookline. He was happiest spending his time with his family whether it was at the beach or traveling cross country. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, Friday, November 7, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
