Obituary For Robert Kaschak

May 6, 1923 - September 15, 2014

Kaschak, Joseph Robert "Bob", age 91, peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2014 of Pleasant Hills. Devoted husband of 62 years to Virginia Ruth "Ginny" (Billingsley) Kaschak; beloved father of Ruth Ann (David) Kaschak Troutman, and Robert G. Kaschak; outstanding grandfather of Dominika and Joska Troutman; son of the late Mary and Joseph Kaschak; brother of George, Jerry and Richard Kaschak. Served in U.S. Army in the Infantry, worked for Jewel Tea Co., Inc. as a franchise operator for over 30 years. Founder and longtime member of the American Legion Post #490, Castle Shannon. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 10:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne Church at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd. Suite 300, Attention: Donor Services, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
