4/18/22. Reading an obituary of former Yankee pitcher, Ralph Terry, a fond memory came to mind. Oct. 13th, 1960, found our artillery battalion in the field in West Germany. Though late at night, many of us were listening to the 7th game of the World Series. We all know what happened in the ninth inning. When Mazeroski homered, in the dead silence of a very dark night, came a scream that we all knew came from Bob "The Weasel" Piljuga, my very good Army pal. On a whim, I decided to "Google" Bob's name. Sadly, I found this obit. We attempted to stay in touch after the Army, but life's events often make that difficult. But i still think of him when thinking about our shared Army experience. A smile always occurs. Gordon Joachim grjoachim@gmail.com

Dear Flo & Family, Bob was a great person to work with. We talked & laughed a lot. I know when he got sick, it hit him very hard. I know now he is with God & feeling himself again. I will pray for your comfort & strength. Sincerely, Betsy Southard Bookkeeper @ MLEDP

My heart is still so heavy. I cannot believe you're truly gone. You were truly the most amazing dad, husband, and grandfather. As I spent the day, the worst day of all of their lives, I was so taken back by the outpouring love and support from so many friends and family. That is a true tribute to the man you were Bob. I am forever grateful for having you and your dear family in my life. May your soul rest in peace. I love you. God speed. Love, Colleen
