Obituary For Ronald C. Brueggman

Age 65, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, of Whitehall.

Beloved son of Bernadette Fuller and the late Ronald Brueggman; stepson of the late John R. Fuller; brother of Gary Brueggman, Beth Panza, Janice Comello, and Linda Wolf; brother-in-Law of Teresa Brueggman, Chris Panza, and Bill Comello; uncle to Jordan Brueggman, Adam Brueggman, Ryan Panza, Justine Panza and Zach Panza. After graduating from Baldwin High School in 1976, Ron enlisted in the Navy and served for three years on the nuclear cruiser the U.S.S. Virginia. After the navy, Ron worked as a delivery driver and salesman for 7-UP the Frito Lay Company. He concluded his career at the South Hills Country Club as an inventory specialist. Ron spent his life dedicated to his family as well as an avid Pittsburgh Pirate Fan. His favorite players were Bill Mazeroski and Roberto Clemente. He was able to attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Bill Mazeroski and had a specialty license plate made commemorating the occasion. Ron also had a love for his cars especially his Mazda RX7 and Dodge Challenger. Ron was a special person who will be missed by all those who knew him. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Pittsburgh Hires Veterans, 1333 Banksville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216 or the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Avenue #1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
