Howard, Rosemary, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

Beloved wife of Gordon “Jake”; mother of Joe (Georgann Cindrich) Howard and Beth (Bruce) Rofsky; grandmother of Sarah, Hannah, and Samantha. Rosemary was retired from PNC where she worked her way up from a part-time teller to a highly valued member of the Trust Department. She was a lifelong member of St. Albert the Great Church in Pittsburgh where she was very involved in the music program for over fifty years, leading the Choral Group that entertained at nursing homes and other places in the community and then becoming a soprano in the church choir. She enjoyed going to daily Mass, reading, traveling, shopping for special gifts, watching the Steelers and Penguins, and relaxing under her beautiful oak tree. Rosemary’s greatest joy was spending time with her family who will miss her gentle, kind, caring presence beyond words. Due to the pandemic, funeral services will be private. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are being made by John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Church at a later time.
