Obeldobel, Ruth Laura (Klein) Age 91, peacefully at home with family, on Thursday, June 12, 2014, of Carrick.

Beloved wife of the late Martin W.; mother of Marian (Joseph) Zarnich-Skwortz, David (Janna) Obeldobel, Kathryn (Thomas Rose) Chicchi, Ruth (Kevin) Henderson and the late Martin (survived by Michelle) Obeldobel; grandmother of Tammy ( Paul) Kane, Joseph (Sera) Zarnich, Doug (Edith) Obeldobel, Jennifer (Pat) Beury, Brian Chicchi, Kimberly Chicchi, Heather (Matthew) Lieberum, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Wagner and the late Melissa Obeldobel; great-grandmother of 15; sister of Elizabeth (George) Mattingley, John Lee (Joyce) Klein and the late Harriet Kapolka, Grace Steele, June Obeldobel, Nell Staley and Mary Ellen Hustava. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Monday and Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 10:15. Funeral service in Spencer United Methodist Church at 11 AM.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you my cousins and family. Aunt Ruth was the embodiment of unconditional love: Giving, caring, fiesty and determined. Aunt Ruth was a blessing to the Hustava Family. I will think of Aunt Ruth when I see the color pink and fireworks. Please plant the hydrangea in her honor.     Beginnings are usually scary and endings are usually SAD but it's EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN that makes LIFE WORTH LIVING.I love you SWEET,KIND and DEAR AUNT.RUTH.Thank you for being there for me always.I LOVE YOU.

    So sad to hear of Ruth's passing. She was the most wonderful mother in law a person could ever ask for along with being my friend forever. I know she will be greatly missed. I'm so glad she was a part of my life. I have wonderful memories that will stay in my heart forever!
