Obituary For Ryan Anthony Bopp

Age 33, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, after a painful battle with drug addiction.

He was born on July 19, 1987 in Pittsburgh to Kimberley (Kerr) Christy. He was a 2005 graduate of Baldwin High School. After graduation, Ryan traveled the country and became an award-winning salesman. Even at the top of success, he was crippled with anxiety and depression which led to his drug addiction. Outwardly, Ryan portrayed he had it all, but remained detached. Although we love Ryan, he was steadfast in battling alone. We hope this obituary illustrates the importance of seeking help. Ryan is preceded by his grandmother, Irene Smith and stepbrother Evan Christy. He is survived by his grandfather, Harold Smith; his mother, Kimberley (Donald) Christy; his father, Anthony Bopp; brothers, Zachary (Katy) Bopp and Corey Bopp; stepbrother, Ryan (Kelly) Christy; stepsister, Rebecca (Ryan) Pawuk and the Smith, Recker and Thompson families. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 2-8 p.m. A blessing service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Due to the current health crisis, masks and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
