Sarah was the most fun person ever to work with. She had a response to everything. I have never met someone with as much energy as she had. I can't believe that cancer could beat her. I have not been in Pittsburgh for 10 years but I will never forget Sarah.

Vibrant is the most fitting word for Sara. Always lived life in color. A magnetic personality with effortless beauty and charm I cherish our carpool karaoke days from Magee. Indelible marks never wash away.

Sara welcomed me into her family with open arms. I remember her telling me that she always wanted a sister. I can't help but feel that I got the better end of that deal. That girl is one of the strongest people I have ever met. She had a heart of gold and an unforgettable sense of humor. She earned every feather on her big beautiful wings and deserved more than this world had to offer. She left an imprint on so many hearts and will live on through her lasting memories.

I was lucky enough to work with Sara at Magee. She was so funny and we would have so much fun together! She made the best pistachio cake! Heaven gained an angel for sure!! She will be missed. As I sit here thinking about her, I cannot help but smile and cry at the same time. Prayers and peace for her family - Jill Valentich

Sara was my youngest sister's only daughter and my beloved niece. She was a lovely person, funny, always smiling and hard working. I am so proud and happy that she was in my life and heartbroken that her life was cut so short...she definitely deserved better. She was also one of the bravest people I have ever known, fighting this ugly disease like a true warrior and doing everything she could so she could have more time to spend with her children and family. I don't understand and never will understand why some of the best people have their lives cut short but I do know that in her short 42 years here she touched so many people's lives, always with a smile and a kind heart. She will be missed every single day and her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. You were the best of the best Sara.

My name is MJ, Mary Jo Krasnevich. I worked with Sara in Jefferson Hospital's WAIC unit. She had me wearing ankle weights at work daily, just to keep me going strong! She was a true motivator & I teased her regularly about misssing her calling! She was one tough cookie who held co-workers accountable for their actions yet was a melting pot of chocolate when telling stories of her children. I could see beneath that tough acting exterior she had a heart of gold. I've kept a special place for her in my heart, especially upon learning of her health issues. No words can ease your loss but I sincerely pray that her light continues to shine in your family.

I was lucky enough to work with Sara at two different hospitals. I knew it was going to be a good day when I saw her name on the schedule. She was a hard worker and brought sooo much laughter to us all. I am honored to have worked with her and call her my friend. She will be very missed.

Sara was my younger cousin by just one month. It's so hard to accept that she has passed on. She was kind and accepting of everyone. She leaves behind so many broken hearts, as she was so special. Please send love to her mother Linda; her father Tom; her brother Ian; her husband Rich; her son Luca; her daughter Penelope; and so many of her other family and friends. I haven't really been a believer in many years, but you better believe that I want nothing more than to she her again in heaven one day. Love always, Mark, Jen, Levon and Sofia Mislanovich
