Obituary For Sherwyn Repp

Sherwyn (Slater) Repp

Age 72, of Monongahela, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away on May 10th, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength, grace, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in Pittsburgh, Sherwyn was the eldest and only daughter of J. Fred and Eileen Slater. She is also survived by her four younger brothers, John (Paula), Steve (Judi), Tim (DeeAnn), and Noel (Sharon).

Sherwyn was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, where she spent many Sundays and holidays singing in the choir. She also loved to serve her community by delivering Meals on Wheels. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, children, and grandchildren, with some of her most cherished memories in her beloved Muskoka, Canada.

Sherwyn is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Tim Repp. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three children, Lauren Fabean (Fred), Lindy Fiorina (Chris), and Nate Repp (Brieanne), and she adored her three granddaughters, Laney and Palmer Fabean and Cecilia Repp, each of whom brought immense joy and light into her life. She was also loved by countless nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the John F. We were so sad to hear of the death of Sherwyn. She was a light to all. She still is, even though she is no longer in our sight. I haven't seen or spoken to her for many years, but I will always remember her dedication to her family, her community, and our Father in heaven. May you find comfort, strength, and peace in your faith in the Savior. With our love, Susan Menzer and family

The last time I saw Sherwyn she was freaking out about burying several of our high school classmates in the previous week. Now we are saying our final farewells to her. We all remember her within our own history. Most of the moments I shared with her were in high school, especially marching band seasons. She was a light, a sparkler, that will be missed by many.

My deepest condolences to the Repp family. Sherwyn was such a sweet and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She reached out to me and shared her knee replacement journey when she heard I was preparing for that same surgery. Although we didn't see each other often, I always had the upmost respect for her. Again, so sorry for your loss.
