Condolences

  • August 30, 2021

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved mother, Shirley Hafen. Your family were the neighbors across our street in Brentwood. We grew up together and some of us moved away, but we will always have the wonderful thoughts of our happy childhoods. Everybody played together and had many fun times on Cloverlea Street. Your mother always had a cheerful greeting and a happy smile, and kept a beautiful home and yard. I always thought it was so unique that all her children's names began with a "K"! She was very kind and had a twinkle in her eye. Her legacy of family will live forever. I thank your parents for coming to my father's viewing a few years ago. May special family memories help to comfort you at this difficult time. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Fondly, Mary I. Ramirez (Now in Philadelphia, PA, although all other family still live in Pittsburgh)

My beautiful Aunt! So many memories I have of you that have enriched my life in so many ways. You were an inspiration and a friend my entire life. You will be missed so very badly though I know the Lord above called you home for the life you lead, children you raised and the faith you projected to all. Never a negative word had I ever heard from your lips. I thank you for the many times in my life that brightened my day and made me forget how down I was feeling at times. These thoughts of you will always be in my memory and heart. For now I will bid you fair well with deep sadness but knowing that you were a very beautiful part of my life leads me to know fully that God has chosen the finest rose on Earth and he will cherish you by his side for eternity. Rest in Peace my beautiful Aunt Shirl I will always love and remember you and thank you for the love you gave to me. We will talk often just as we always have for I know you will be listening fully. I love you.
