Obituary For Theresa Rose Alter-Kulwicki

Age 90, peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024, of Brookline.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond Alter; loving mother of Cynthia Alter, Sharon (Don) Sroka, Diana (Bob) Kaczorowski, Richard Alter and Donald (Kristen) Alter; proud Nana of Bobby, Juliann, Heather, Nathan (Ashley), Ashley (Chris) Adams, Carly, Dylan and Jaden; great-grandmother of Mason, Eva, Roman and Joshua; daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Riccelli; sister of the late George (Cathy) Richards, Anthony (Pat) Richards, Norma (Augie) Cacolice and Mario (Anna) Richards. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Rose was a lifelong devout Catholic. She loved to cook for family and friends and enjoyed going to the casino. Rose was retired from the City of Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation Department. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary of the Mount Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memorials Processing, Memphis, TN 38105.

    Our hearts were broken to hear the news. Your Mom was a remarkable woman with so many funny stories and so knowledgeable of so many things you didn't quite understand. How we would laugh.     To Dearest Cindy, Sherry, Dee, Rick, Donnie and Grandchildren, the Meliton family and I send our heartfelt prayers for comfort and strength and deepest condolences for the passing of your dearest Mom and Nana.
