We honor and celebrate the life of Tom, a man who touched us all in profound and lasting ways, and had a way of making you feel seen and valued. For Jamie, Andy and the grandchildren, Jade, Zara and Eve, he was a steady presence, strength and kindness and unconditional love. We witnessed this first hand at our every encounter. Even as illness gradually took it's toll, his courage, faith and unwavering faith never faltered. Though we grieve Tom's passing, we take comfort in knowing that his pain has ended, and his spirit rests in peace. We will remember him, not for the illness that weakened his body, but further strength of character that never wavered. May his Soul find eternal rest, and may we honor his memory with the same kindness, integrity and faith. Yvonne and David Ngaruiya

My deepest, heartfelt condolences to all of Tommy's family and friends. I will always cherish our long talks about growing up in the South Hills, Steeler football, politics, "Angel's in the Outfield", working a Fisher Body and countless other topics. I have so many great memories of Tommy's wonderful storytelling ability. He could recount tales from a life lived to the fullest, making friends and adventures everywhere he went. I always thought of the rich Irish/Celtic tradition of passing down history and storytelling and truly believed Tommy was born and blessed with this talent. In honor of this special skill and the love of his ancestry, I am reminded of an old Irish saying: "May you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead!"
