  Oh Carole, how my heart is aching. I did not know that cousin Tom has been ill. I am so sorry that we have fallen out of touch! I loved him so much. It is so hard taking care of sick loved ones, as I am currently doing with my husband. I too am disabled, and we donâ??t get out much. Please know that you are in my prayers. I want to hear from you, I gave my phone number to the funeral home.

  It is never easy to capture the true essence of someone with words and Iâ??m sure I will not do him justice with mine. My family and I lost a stepfather, a grandfather and a friend. And while we are grateful that he is no longer fighting a futile battle with Alzheimerâ??s, we will dearly miss the qualities that made him so special to us. From his eloquent way with words that made every card a beautiful expression of emotion, to the way he made my children feel loved and cherished. But one of our most wonderful memories we will hold dear was his unwavering faith. He would always say that he could never hate with God in his heart. We love you Tom and weâ??ll miss you.
