Obituary For Virginia E. (Murray) Mazzarini

Age 82, peacefully at home after a long illness on Monday, July 31, 2023, of Whitehall, formerly of Carrick.

Beloved wife of 63 years to John Mazzarini; loving mom of Cary Mazzarini McGee, Patty Carney and Tim Mazzarini; proud grandmother of Amanda, Ryan, Colton, Rob, Drew and Craig; great-grandmother of five; sister of the late Janet Kalkstein. Also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Ginny enjoyed bingo and swimming and was well-known for her FaceTime calls. Ginny's family would like to thank Amy, Amanda and Beth from Gallagher Hospice for their compassionate care. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the John F. Slater Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church, 2810 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

    Uncle Jack, I'm really sorry to hear you lost Aunt Ginny. Cary, Patty, and Tim, I'm really sorry for the loss of your Mom. I'm going to miss talking to her on the phone, it was always a pleasure. I'll always remember her as a sweet, caring, and loving person that was so easy to talk to and had a very good memory. May you all feel God's blessings, and comforting presence around you.
