Obituary For William C. "Bill" Henschel

Age 42, after a hard-fought battle with cancer and surrounded by his family, on Monday, October 6, 2025 of Brentwood, formerly of West Mifflin.

Loving husband of Jenn Henschel (Ryan); proud Daddy of Averie and Maximus; beloved son of Karen (Randy) Grebner and the late Bill Henschel; dear son-in-law of Michael and Bridget Ryan; cherished brother of Daniel (Jenna) Henschel, Chad (Erin) Henschel and Randy, Heather and Sean Grebner; brother-in-law to the late Michael Ryan; fun uncle of Halle, Eli, Ella, Ashley, Carly, Jayden, Jordan and Luke. Will also be dearly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday and Friday, October 9 and 10, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests in Bill's memory to plant a tree in a special location.

    I cannot think of a more kind, genuine person than Bill. My condolences to the family as this loss no doubt affects many. Ill never forget all the dek hockey seasons played with Bill and all the fun that was had. Although I didnt see him often of recent, I will miss him dearly.
