Age 86, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, of West Mifflin, formerly of Braddock.

Beloved husband of the late Doris A. McCarthy; loving father of Daniel (Kim) McCarthy, Rita McCarthy and the late Anne Marie Stanley; cherished Pap Pap of Jessica (Rob) Cheplic, Matthew Stanley and Caitlin (Ted) Nicewarner; great-grandfather of Mila, Jillian and Noah; brother of Mercedes, James and Mary; brother-in-law of Roger and Joyce Sulkowski. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and worked in the Carpenter's Union for over 50 years. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St Thomas the Apostle, St. Therese Church at 10:00 a.m.
