Obituary For William J. Merecky

Age 82, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, of Baldwin Borough.

Son of the late Irma (Kraus) Merecky; grandson of the late Joseph and Josephine Kraus; nephew of the late Lois A. Kraus. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 2 until the time of military honors at 5:00 p.m.

    Bill was the most sincere friend ever and over time, he became extended family. A fond memory.....he accepted my cat! Lol. He did not like cats. But Zipper would make sure Bill's shoes were scented when he visited us.. Bill would just be sure to give me the stink eye as he left.
