Unrath, William P., Sr., age 85, entered his eternal home on Sunday, March 16, 2014 of Pleasant Hills.

Survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marlene Unrath; children William P., Jr., Douglas M., Patrick T. "Sonny" (Jane), Lori Ann Bagley, Darrell C. (Laurie) and the late Gregory L.; grandsons Dylan (Helen), Michael, Ryan Cunning (Sarah); great grandsons Jesse, Ryan, Jr. and Nathaniel; daughter-in-law Marcia Unrath; brother of Carol Rodwich and the late Robert Unrath, Dorothy Burde and Letitia Glackin. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Served in the U. S. Army from 1950 to 1953 in the 2nd Army Chemical Corp. Retired after 45 years from Fisher Body General Motors Corporation, West Mifflin, member of U.A.W. Local #544, was an avid fisherman and hunter and both NASCAR and Indy 500 fan.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas A'Becket Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
