Obituary For William R. Schroeder

Age 80, of Whitehall, surrounded by family and after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Loving husband of 54 years to Diana (Noll); proud father of Jessie (Jim) Jesensky, Danielle (Kevin) Smith and Wendy (Bill) Underwood; Pappy to Lila Jesensky, Grady, Spencer and Courtney Smith and Grace and Sara Underwood; preceded in death by his parents Bill and Anabell (Meehan) Schroeder. Also survived by his loving brothers/sisters-in-law, Lou and Dan Pont, Babs and Mike Koempel, Dick Noll, George and Boots Bradley, Shirley and Jack Burton, Greg Chesmar, and nieces and nephews. Bill will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, golf, playing cards, family vacations, and all Pittsburgh sports. Always proud to be a Marine. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held privately. If desired, family suggests memorial donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org.
